Type of a scam Sweepstakes/Lottery/Prizes
If this is NOT FRAUD, then it is FALSE ADVERTISING, Savings Club Now should not be allowed to state that a person will receive a Free Gift or Item in return for their participation, when all they are getting is entered into a Sweepstakes. That is a BIG DIFFERENCE, being given a $100 prize or entry into a Sweepstakes that could have millions of entries for that same PRIZE, further, they are charging people $1.95, before advising them that they are not receiving their stated PRIZE, but an entry into a Sweepstakes for the PRIZE they were supposed to receive for completing the Survey. Lastly, Savings Club Now should NOT be allowed to hide ENROLLMENT T0 RECURRING SUBSCRIPTIONS in their Terms of Service without advising customers of such subscription without the customer specifically authorizing such enrollment, and definately not be allowed to collect payment for such Recurring Subscription within 24 hours. I believe that they are stating they will collect the amount within 24 hours so they do not have to show you a receipt for that amount, like they do for the $1.95, they collected. If they showed that they were also collecting $99.95 for a Recurring Subscription to some Health Application that the customer did not ask for or in the majority of the cases the customer does not want. Savings Club Now is ripping people off by offering them a Prize for completing a Survey, then charging those people $1.95, before advising them that they are actually not going to get the promised Advertised Prize, but instead, they are ONLY receiving a Sweepstakes entry for a chance to win the Advertised Prize they were told they would receive for completing the Survey. And, on top of that, they WITHOUT ADVISING YOU, they enroll you in a Recurring Subscription to some product or company that you know nothing about or never would have enrolled in if you had been given a choice in the matter. If that is not FRAUD, FALSE-ADVERTISING or a SCAM, I don't know what is. These Companies should be required to state all of their Intentions upfront and not be allowed to hide this information in some tiny little print. Companies like this must be STOPPED from ripping-off hard working individuals by misleading or false statements, and further, should not be allowed to hide their true intent, which is to get customers to enroll in some Recurring Subscription to some Company or Product that they have no nothing about or have not been advised informed of or about.
After a long discussion and allot of arguing with Customer Service, I finally got Customer Service to agree to issue me a Refund for a portion of the funds they charged my Credit Card.
