This was a phone call with bad connection. I didn't recognize the number but was expecting a call for a biopsy result so I answered. I was caught off guard when the caller asked if I could hear her and I responded "yea", then she immediately hung up. I realized this was the yes phone scam. Be warned of calls from this number or similar.

I received a call saying "Cynthia" and I automatically said, "YES" and they hung up. I tried to call them back and the message I got was "You have successfully reached a voice mailbox. Please leave a message after the tone." I tried leaving them a text by saying "Who is this? You called me and then hung up. What did you want?" with no response.

Dummy me I said yes. He then said I can't hear you I'll call you back and hung up. I blocked his number and notified you.

I received a call asking "I'm looking for [my name]." When I said "this is [my name]," the caller hung up. I called them back only to find the number was spoofed.

I believe this was like the "yes scam," only they were hoping to get a recording of me saying my name.

Male with an accent called from 530-481-5784 to my cell phone, stated he was from US Customs," Are you RXXXX PXXXX. Initially I said "wrong person". He said "there is a package for RXXXX PXXXX, do you know this person?" So I said "I know where to reach this person". He then said - "so you know RXXXX ?". I said "yes". I heard a mechanical click, a pause, then he hung up.

In retrospect, he was trying to get me to say "yes" and most likely recorded it.

I just got home from the surgicenter and had answered numbers i didn't know from the hospital so I thought this could be another call i should answer but discovered it's a seemingly scammer and i want to report it so they don't use it for any type of fraud.
