• May 23, 2024: Initial contact by business was made in a FB group for a Job Opportunity, which is actually a pay-to-work scheme.

• Initial contact by business implied that he was recruiting for his business. Initial contact does not own the business and there is no verification that he is even an employee of the business.

• Initial contact made by business may/may not be an actual employee of the business, but a customer like myself.

• Initial contact made by business introduced concept of a “funding partner” who would fund my training, which ended up being a personal loan.

• June 7, 2024: Meeting was implied as a job opportunity, but ended up being a training course sales pitch.

• Interview exceeded an hour and a half of personal questions to extract vulnerabilities, confuse and disorient customer. Additional business representative was introduced to further confuse and disorient.

• Funding partner was introduced as a benefit to working with company but was not stated directly or explained that it would be to pay for job training as a personal loan of $6,000.

• Job training was not presented or represented as a paid training course, but a job opportunity to be hired after a month with specific stipulations.

• Stipulations are to signup 10 new clients for company within a month. When asked if a list of prospects would be provided, the business representative said yes. After joining the course, a list of prospects was not provided, and we were told to find these prospects ourselves.

• If 10 clients are not found within a month, the customer is bound by the company to pay installments for the $6,000 investment for a period of 12 months. During this time, the customer is “hired,” but will have their investment taken out of their earnings.

• Personal loan was not initiated by myself. Business representative told me it was a complicated process and that we had to screenshare while he set it up himself. He asked me to share sensitive information including Affirm/Paypal confirmation codes.

• A further requirement of the training is to provide even more than 10 signups initially stipulated but providing personal referrals. This was not stipulated in the meeting.

• No responses from business to my questions after confirmation of transaction was made.

Reason for delay in reporting:

• Took time to consult with legal about best course of action.

Resolution: Affirm Loan of $6000 to be voided and canceled.

The exact thing happened to me. Why are they still in business?
What a shame!
