Consumer made comments to some country singers online through a social media website. The music artist would comment back. She got a reply back from whom she thought was Blake Shelton. He told her, his youtube manager saw her comment and she was picked to call and visit when he's in Louisville, KY next March. She won a ticket to see him front row and back row VIP passes. She was then asked to go to Walgreens purchase a Vanilla Visa Gift Card. Consumer didn't trust them but still went ahead and purchased the card sent a photo to him. They spent the majority money off of the card. She got help with the manager at the store to try to get some money back.
The scammer keeps texting the consumer, harassing her. Tells her there was a mix up, tried to get additional information from the consumer including her banking account info. Promising to give her money back. She lost $500.00. Consumer keeps getting numerous texts. Consumer was advised to contact the FTC, the police etc..
