Was texted by an individual name Ms. Cherene Mcrae claiming to be a Talent Acquisition Specialist for Blackhorn Ventures. I was then referred to one Omar Smith. Instructed to use signal (with the number (940) 277-7497

), I messaged Omar and we had a typical interview-like conversation. He asked for some identifying details. It culminated in me being sent via email the picture of a check which I was instructed to deposit. This is where I no longer felt comfortable conversing and said as much; to which all communication immediately ceased thereafter.
