Sounded like an automated call claiming that myVerizon account had been deactivated and directing me to press 1 to reactivate account. I immediately hung up and called Verizon to verify and found that my account was current and Verizon did not call me.

I received a call with a recorded male voice, fuzzy and loud, saying that this was a call from Verizon and that my account has been suspended. I was then given the option to press 1 to hear more about my account or press 2 for customer service. I pressed 1 and was immediately disconnected. Having suspected it was a scam from the beginning, I redialed the number and received a recording that the number was not an active number.
