I got their same message. Beware if you own puppies and or have an IG page for them.

A QUICK way to know if Jets a scam, is to go on their profile… click the top right (three-little) dots… then hit “About This Page” and it will give you when the page was made, where it is based (scammers - India, China, Macedonia, etc) and how many times the page has changed their username.

I look for recent dates, and an out of country base.

I have included picture below.

Puppy pages have the most SCAMS across Instagram.

I am so happy I found this! luckily I always look to see if this kind of stuff is a scam and it was. I too got the same message and thought it was legit. Hopefully other people see this before going through with it.

Contacted on Instagram. They off free handmade dog bandanas. I’m return, you send them a pic of your dog wearing them. Once you pick out your choice of product, they ask you to pay shipping. They claim to be a small company, that makes these products themselves. In fact, they are available on aliexpress.com for pennies. Scarf and Tail’s average price is $25. Many say the ‘free’ item never arrives.

PLEASE REPORT TO INSTAGRAM if this happens to you.

Just received an Insta DM from the company. Luckily I’m a real cynic & always check things out. I have a pup who, yes I’m biased, is cute and I can see how easy it could be to be flattered that your pup is ‘so special’ that it could be an ambassador. In reality, I wouldn’t be surprised if nearly every pup owner with an Insta account was targeted. Thank you all for sharing your experiences. It will help the rest of us

They scam you into paying for shipping on a “free” order to be a brand ambassador. That’s how they make their money is on the shipping. Do not fall for it! They DM you saying they’re looking for cute pups to model their bandanas then make you cover the shipping cost.

I got scammed and used my moms PayPal and lost $24 something and have no way to get it back I guess, so please do not fall victim to this scam and just ignore them unlike I did cause now I have to find a way to get my moms money back to her!

I also received a DM on instagram from @christine.lee.long saying she was part of a pup brand brand called @scarfand tail.co and that we would love to work with you. So glad that I Googled this before being scammed by this person and this company in California.

i believe that they are just using fake accounts with fake names to bait people into thinking they're real and credible, I got poached by this account @luciana.y.milena . it's so gross I hate accounts that try to scam, glad I also googled this before accepting

Same story as the others: they reach out and offer free merchandise but you pay shipping and handling. You also are told you can select up to 7 items, but since you pay more for each item, you’re just buying them. The items take forever to get to you (if they arrive at all) and are cheaply made. They imply they are a local company based out of California but all of their items come from China. Terrible experience.

This is a brand ambassador scam site. Typically, they will contact Instagram users and ask them to become a brand ambassador; they will offer "free" products where the user only has to pay shipping charges.

The products, however, are extremely cheap goods from AliExpress, which are listed on the Scarf and Tail website at more than 1000% markup to give the illusion of exclusivity and quality. (See here for the products at their original price: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/33006015544.html) The fake shipping charges go straight into the scammers' pockets.

They contacted me for promotion and that I get not 3 as usual but 7 scarfs! And when I get the product I need to write them so I can get the discount code if some of my followers or friends order on it. Well, I paid 0 $ and 45-50€ for shipment. So It is new age scam to go on starting businesses and scam them :( Sad, sad af

Scarf and Tail preys on Instagram users who have accounts for their pets by inviting them to be brand ambassadors. They give you a coupon code for free merchandise but they charge you shipping and handling. When I reached out to customer service, I realized it was a phishing scam and contacted my credit card company. Needless to say, the merchandise never arrived.
