I was forcefully enrolled in a program that was explained to me by my employer like such: "The Primecare Indemnity program puts more money back in your paycheck. By taking out a certain amount of money BEFORE taxes, and putting it back into your check once taxes are taken out!" When I asked how this was legal, I was told by my company that the "service" being offered works "like health insurance". I already have health insurance and attempted to decline, but was told that the entire company was being auto-enrolled against our will. I never gave my company permission to have these funds taken out of my paycheck, and even though I was told it would have no impact on my taxes, it did. I was told that because I didn't unenroll by May 31st, I was auto-enrolled in the program. This is untrue, I have an email confirming I was unenrolled on May 17th. I can find no information on this company and suspect that they keep changing their name to avoid fraud charges, because my company used to use a SIMILAR product, but has since switched to SCC Concepts Primecare Indemnity program (replacing Healthcare2U).
