I just received this scam message from somebody claiming to be Scott James. It said that if I received this message then consider myself a winner and that they were giving away $100,000 to 100 people at random. He also said that he was a the power ball winner up in Wisconsin.

Bs text claiming he won Powerball in Wisconsin and I was one of the lucky 100 people to receive $100,000 donation. There was another name and number I was to text using some code to redeem my "donation" and it ended with "if you're not interested please ignore this"

I took a screenshot of the text as well as one of the numbers included in the group text.
The pictures include all the details. I didnt bother calling or texting the number.
Im not sure what can or will be done by reporting this obvious scam. But hopefully the scammer will get caught.

This is a txt I received so I called the truck number and the gentleman called me back and told me it was a scam so as usual these people I don't know how they do this but it's ridiculous so this is the text I got watch out it's a scam

Got a message saying he was Scott James a Powerball winner from California and that he was sharing his money and a Lexus with 3 people randomly picked and my number was one of them. It said to text the number above for Jenkins Clifton to claim my rewards. I text the number and a man with an accent called me. I said to him that he was a scammer and hung up then he called back and I didn't answer. He never called back

I received a text message on my phone saying his name is Scott James the powerball jackpot winner of $699.8 in California on Oct. 4 2021.and my name was one of the 100 US citizens randomly picked that he was donating to to win $300,000.00 plus a brand new Lexus car and I had been randomly picked after a spin ball. I needed to contact Jenkins Clifton, the agent in charge, at (870)330-7188 to claim my prize. Out of curiosity on July 14, 2022 at 6:25 I sent a text to that number saying I wanted to claim my prize. I received a text back right away and was told I was still available on the winners list and had won $300,00.00 & a brand new Lexus car. On July 15, 2022 @ 7:51 a.m. I received a text saying Good Morning. At 1:49 p.m. I replied asking what's up with this? Their immediate response was "You will have to fill a details, so your programmed and locate your destination when bringing the Money to you. Are you ready to Fill the details now and for security reason you have to fill it here right now." My reply was " It depends on what "details" you are asking for." Their reply-

MY REPLY - " Can you tell me how I was picked?"

THEIR REPLY- "Your number was randomly selected by Scott Godfrey the Powerball winner who won 699.8 million and he want to do some giveaway this week And your number was selected"
MY REPLY - "How was my number selected?
THEIR REPLY - "Are you ready for your winning package 📦"

That is when my communication ended with them and I started looking for a way to report all this nonsense. I already knew that's what I was going to do I just wanted to see what more information they would give me. Sorry for the length of it but details were asked for , I hope all of this helps to keep others from getting scammed. Have a blessed day!

Received text from "Scot James" (347-369-9839) saying he was the Powerball winner from October 4, 2021 (according to Google the real name is Scott Godfrey) and that he was sharing $150k and new Lexus with 100 random strangers. Said to text his agent, David Gonzalez, to claim winnings at 410-656-2534. Three total phone numbers were included in the group text: 662-255-1393, 413-642-6999, and my work cellphone 619-372-7692.

Scott James blocked him on my cell phone now he is call my work place. Please stop this man from calling me about a court case he received only phone calls no letter, no documents that he can provide. THANK YOU.
