i was scammed into a job offer. it was a remote position for the HR personal assistant. they sent me $4800 to buy the necessary laptop but then the check bounced in my account and i went to the company they said the HR persons account was hacked and is scamming people. since the check bounced i was charged 32$ and they have my address now

Job was posted on indeed. Someone who went by Scott Buscher emailed me back. There was some back and forth for 2 days and then a job offer sent. They were advertising 12 hrs per week for $925. The person was going to send a check in the mail so i could buy a very specific laptop and some software. Within 2 days I was offered the job and then paused for a minute to research remote work scams. I looked at the email addresse and noticed there was an "S" added on to a legitimate website. The scammer used a very similar but fake URL. I promptly ended correspondence and immediately filed this report.
