Scottish Fold Cattery Scam
- There is no record of this breeder with the WCF
- Very accommodating with delivery option and my quick timeline
- Delivery seemed very cheap from what I was expecting
- The kittens were cheaper than any other reputable breeder I have found
- A video was sent to me of the kitten playing to legitimize the transaction but seemed generic
- The contact asked for the same information several times
- Insisted of using Zelle, Venmo, or Apple Pay
- The Zelle email I was given to send money to was different than the email I received the video from the day before.
- The phone number given on the website does not come back registered to any person, so most likely its a google voice or similar spoof number
- The name on the second email address given comeback to someone from Toledo, OH...not California
- I noticed the a Toledo, OH area code has been used in several other cattery scams found on this site
I was lucky enough to see it all before actually sending money. Be very careful people, and verify before you send any money. If it feels to good to be true, it likely is.
