He gave us an estimate for work to be done on our lanai. He was going to replace screens and install a kickplate around entire bottom of lanai. Caulk and sea; bottom of door with bug sweep. He wanted 1/3 of the full amout $850.00 for materials. We gave him a check for $300.00 which he cashed the next day. He was supposed to come and do the work on 9/18 at 10:00 am. Texted that he was running late after I texted him at 10:38 to see if he was still coming. At 2:48, he texted and said tha he would be there in the morning. Did not come but texted that it was a really bad day with rain off and on. Be there on Friday afternoon, but we had plans. Will be there on Saturday before 12:00. When he didn't come, I texted him at 10:38 stating that we had plans for the afternoon, but if he was going to come, I would change them. He did not come. I texted him on Monday, asking him if he was still going to come, or did we get taken. He texted back at 2:46 stating unexpected delays and promising to come on Tuesday around noon. At 3:13 he texted that he couldn't get the metal because the gut that cuts it wasn't there. Will be there tomorrow. Never came. I texted him that he should bring me my money back since he did not have the material, and then do it at a time when he was better able to do it. Crickets!!!!
