The scammer said my account was over due and wanted to transfer me to their accounts payable department. I do not have an account with SDG&E by the way. I called the phone number again to see how they answered and they hung up on me.

I received a call stating that the recording was calling from SDGE and in 30 minutes our power would be shut off and to press 1 or call 800-971-7421 to resolve the bill immediately. I pressed 1 and the agent slurred together his words. I asked where he was calling from and he said, "SDGE how can I help you". "I said I know this is a scam and I am going to report this number". He yelled and said, "Then stop wasting time", SDGE would not call demanding money without a paper statement and this is a business where the power is ALWAYS connected. SCAM 100%!!

I was contacted from 619-441-3970 with a voice message stating they were calling from SDG&E informing me about disconnection today due to non-payment, and to contact 800-814-5702 immediately. I contacted them at 800-814-5702. A male with a Middle eastern accent answered my call. He told me I had to pay 495.00 dollars to avoid electric disconnection. I asked if I could pay over the phone. He told me I had to speak to his supervisor. He transferred me to Jessica White/ When I talked to Jessica, she told me I owe $798.64 not $495.00 that I had to pay that in order to avoid disconnection. I told her my payments are done automatically every month from my bank account. She told me something happen and they didn't receive the payments for September and October. I told her I don't own that much in electricity for 2 months, she told me yes I did and I had to pay otherwise my disconnection was schedule within the next hour. I asked her if I could pay over the phone, she took my account number and routing number. She told me, it couldn't be processed because it was already too late because it was scheduled for disconnection and that I have to pay directly to an SDG&E Office, she looked for the closest office, and told me it was temporary closed but she wanted to help me to avoid disconnection and instructed me to go to

pay at a Circle K store, she told me I had to take cash no credit card no debit card. She instructed me to buy two MoneyPak cards one for $500.00 dollars and the other one for 298.64 then after buying the cards I was supposed to call her back and give her the the confirmation number on the card to apply it to my account and avoid disconnection.

After that, I called SDG&E number on my statement. They confirmed I didn't owe any money nor they called me, nor a disconnection was scheduled.

I contacted my bank to cancel my bank account. Fortunately, no money was taken from my account.

I was called saying it was SDG&E and that they were coming to my home today to remove my solar panels because my payments had not been made on time. That if I paid $450.00 over the phone my panels would not be removed. Their phone number was 619-842-7206 and they answered saying it was SDG&E. When I let them know I checked my online account and my payments where up to date they said one was pending still. When I finally told them I believed they were scammers they said very inappropriate things to me and hung up on me. I called three times and was cussed out all three times, they all spoke spanish.

Our company got a phone call from these so called SDGE worker. He stated that we had an amount due and because we hadn't payed their workers were going to head over and shut down our electricity. Its when he gave me a 1800 number to call for customer services. We opened out online account with SDGE and there was no due amount. Called the number he gave me and I spoke to another person and said they were only going to be accepting cash because with a credit card there was going to be a long process. It's when we thought it sounded a little shady. Called the number that was on the SDGE website and confirmed that no such order had been given and that the 1800 number was definitely not theirs.

SOMEONE POSED AS AN SDG&E REPRESENTATIVE WHILE CALLING FROM SDG&E'S MAIN PHONE NUMBER 800-411-7343, AS SHOWN ON OUR CALLER ID. HOWEVER, THE CALLER REQUESTED US TO CALL BACK AT 855-653-2321 TO PAY OTHERWISE ELECTRICITY WOULD BE SHUT DOWN IN AN HOUR FOR OUR BUSINESS. HE SPECIFICALLY ASKED FOR A MANAGER OR PERSON IN CHARGE OF SDG&E BILL. CALLED SDG&E'S BUSINESS LINE AND WAS TOLD THIS WAS A SCAM.
