Applied for a job on Indeed- did not even know these kinds of scams existed and CERTAINLY didnt know a platform like Indeed could possibly let them scam people (assumed they verified EINs??) Received an email to do an interview a couple weeks later via a chat site (Telegram) was "hired" and then told i would be mailed a check to cover supplies and would be informed of who they do business with. Fortunately, i doubt myself constantly and started researching this and found that some of the phrases they used were flagged as suspicious (by Indeed themselves even- so why would they allow the posting????) Unfortunately, i have already provided my license and SS card images to them.
