052323 looked into website www.searchquarry.com for a search on a License Plate in an effort to attain the name attached to the vehicle due to a drive-by shooting w/ a Pellet Gun/Hate Crime that had also been reported to the local Sheriffs Dept. I did receive the Make & Model of the LP's recorded description of vehicle & the VIN #. I then attempted once again to get the name providing the VIN# paying an additional $9.95 after the initial fee of $5.05 & was prompted to pay another $9.95 for more information & still not capable to put in that was in need of the name/owner/leasee of the LP, VIN #. I disagreed/declined to conduct further business w/ the company due to Nickel Diming for piece by piece of information. I canceled the account on the 23rd to NOT do further business w/ the company! On the 053023 received alert from my bank of suspicious attempt to charge or possible fraudulent charge from SearchQuarry.com on that very day of 053023. I searched my bank records & saw the two authorized charges of $5.05 & $9.95 & thinking it was possibly the third attempt when it asked me for another $9.95 for the information was in search of & put on the bank account website that the charge wasn't to be paid b/c NOT AUTHORIZED. The bank is sending me a new card to avoid further attempts of the company charging & YET it's cost me an additional $122 b/c I had arranged to move & NOW the bank automatically mailing a new card has interfered w/ my plans & all to stop this SearchQuarry.com from charging the card the additional $24.95 AS WOULD HAVE BEEN AUTHORIZED IF I DIDN'T CANCEL THE ACCOUNT & YET I VERIFIED IT WAS INDEED CANCELED!!! More interesting is my emailed correspondence to their company letting them know what they had just cost me & all b/c they attempted to charge w/o authorization $24.95 which the Customer Service person at my bank advised from my call to stop the new card from being mailed to not hinder my move that needed to be by the 053123. They couldn't stop the card from being mailed b/c was done automatically. The company searchquarry.com email from Joanne stated that I didn't cancel the account & hence they were authorized to charge my account $24.95 & YET I DID CANCEL IT & NOT ONLY DID I CANCEL IT YET ALSO VERIFIED IT TO BE CANCELLED B/C I DIDN'T WANT GIVE BIZ TO SHADY COMPANY. I just got another email from Joanne from Searchquarry.com telling me that MY BANK ACCOUNT WILL NOW HAVE OVERDRAFT FEES DUE TO MY NOT HAVING THE FUNDS IN THE ACCOUNT WHEN THEY DEMANDED PAYMENT OF THE $24.95. Furthermore ... after the previous email from them 060123 said I had a refund coming my direction in the amount of $9.95 & ...

See this...Copy & Pasted from your website...THE INFORMATION has BEEN EDITED SINCE 053023, wherein it previously showed free trial canceled! ....In whatever words it showed then which can bbb reviewed & NOW since you are caught in the 'scam' or 'fraudulent' activity in attempts to explain & accuse me of the charge declining from my CC & that reason I am no longer member per the agreed free trial wherein I canceled PRIOR to charge date. Furthermore, it's onn my computer & time & dates from cookies/history don't lie. My bank suspected the charge & it was NOT AUTHORIZED AS WAS CANCELLED PRIOR THE CHARGE DATE.

I was interested in your company's services as needed & YET the lack of professionalism is not appreciated.

The unauthorized charge has just cost me $122 ddue to not having a card now to charge my need for move day. :/ The bank mailing another card that will be received w/i the upcoming week & YET costing us another mo of storage. A MAJOR INCONVIENIENCE! Hello...

I needed the name that is attached to a License Plate due to the driver committing a crime & it will be a civil lawsuit & yet the PD has been advised & yet not yet taking the appropriate action.

The initial charge was $5.05 & no name or information was provided whatsoever so had TO PAY ANOTHER $9.95 & Still no name provided just the specifics of the automobile. It then requested another $9.95 to get the name...

What reason need I pay ea amount for information that is needed piece by piece?

Please advise.

I cancelled b/c it was only the name of the driver that was needed. I did have the LP & w/ tht got the Vin & yet it was only a name that was needed

Thank you for your response & yet doing more research on this company provides a scam alert.

They like myself was provided w/ portions of info & given as you call it 'add on' options for only an additional $9.95 after the basic $5.05 charge for what info was provided. It was the name of the LP that was needed. Thank you yet there was no place wherein I was provided or able to ask for such w/o the Premium Fee & I as others didn't realize that it'd be additional $9.95 for another piece of info that wasn't needed to then pay another $9.95 for what was originally needed & offer as you mentioned for premium. I had always declined that & YET my bank NOW has just cancelled my BANK CARD requiring mail me another card b/c you company attempted to charge a THIRD charge OF $24.95 053023 & that was UNAUTHORIZED. Not only was it unauthorized yet the account was closed to not play into the ongoing additional charges for piece of info & another for only $9.95 we can provide that & yet provides something else. Anyhow...lesson learned & yet I didn't have automatic fields to put in the information that was needed so only the perimeters of the vehicle was provided w// no identifying info of owner or leasee. I understand you cannot provide what you haven't. Just developed a mess on my bank's side & haven't access to my card as needed to move today & trying to get others to help me otherwise I incur additional $122 in expenses that isn't feasible at this time. Rather unhappy about the experience & moreso from that upon research about this company. What reason did you all attempt to charge that unauthorized $24.95 b/c my entire plan on needing be cleared out of an area to day has been ruined from this & my bank insistent upon canceling the bank card to avoid it from continuing. The account was canceled days ago & there should have been NO additional charges as my bank claims you all attempted to charge of another $24.95. That just cost me an additional $122 rather than disputing the charge, considering having to pay for another month of storage IF my items aren't cleared out today & renting vehicle to move them to house is out w/o my bank card that I now have to wait approx 4 business days to receive.

I paid $14.95 for the single report. They indicated that the death record of the person I was looking for was in their records. They had the name and city of death listed. I was then told that the initial payment was a membership fee and the full report will cost $18, which I paid. The full report showed no records found. I called and they said the their terms of agreements stated that they could not guarantee that the records were accurate, even though they had his name in their database. True scam.

SearchQuarry.com advertises their services as "a provider of information gathered from publicly available data" and "allows you to conduct searches of various public records".

While they claim the service "does not create, verify, or guarantee the accuracy of such data; rather, SearchQuarry.com receives its information from various sources, including Internet sites. It is not necessarily affiliated with or endorsed by these sources, or compensated by them"; furthermore, they state the information "may not always be accurate or complete".

They on go to explain (only in the Customer FAQ section) that "The preliminary search accesses people databases simply to verify that the person exists in the United States. This information is provided as reference material only. Search results obtained from the Preliminary Search may not match the search results obtained in the members area based on the same search parameters." However, despite this disclaimer, they -with every search across 14 record types- consistently and repeatedly display precisely the same list of names in the same order and with the same basic identifying details; the only deviation among these search is that the municipality or county name is followed by the entity where such information should exist were it factual (i.e., "x" county birth records, "x" city municipal court, "x" county bankruptcy records database, and so on).

The only identifying information is that which can be obtained across a myriad of online searches; this most basic information includes all individuals with the same first and last name in the state (or nationwide, depending on search parameters), age (which may or may not be accurate), and location (including current and/or past cities of residence), followed by the supposed "data source".

You can select only one individual report (even if the same individual appears multiple times within the same query) you see a notice that "Your search was successful", and you can proceed to purchase the full report for a charge of $2.95 and a "5 Day Unlimited Report Access included in your trial membership. If you choose to cancel your account within the trial period this is the only amount that you will be billed. Afterward you will be charged $19.95 per month until you contact customer support to cancel."

It is also noted that "After your initial purchase, you will receive a trial to SearchQuarry.com’s public records searches. To cancel your subscription and your first recurring charge, contact SearchQuarry.com within the trial period by (link provided on site)."

Nowhere on the site -even in the "Privacy" or "Terms and Conditions" sections is there a physical location, owner or other names, address (either physical or P.O. box) or any clearly identifying "company" details.

Should you wish inaccurate information to be removed, you must "Please print, fill out all the requested/mandatory information on the Data Removal Request Form available at opt_out_form.pdf" and "It may further help us locate the information you wish to be removed/withheld, if you provide us such details as the location of the data in question in a form of website/URL link."

Also, it is stated that "Although most information is usually removed or blocked permanently, we do not guarantee the information will not be available again in the future, as we are not in direct control of the information distributed and obtained from official public records/government or third party sources. It is for this reason that we recommend you contact the custodian of the original record to request it be removed or corrected."

I have completed multiple initial searches using my name (followed by those of family members), and each name appears on each and every search across the 14 "People" searches, as being positive results for report information. I selected the option to choose individual reports where I know FOR A FACT no information exists, and I nonetheless received the notification that "Your search was SUCCESSFUL. All you need to do is activate your account to unlock and view your report instantly." This was the case where no records exist, such as arrest, bankruptcy, court, criminal, death, marriage, divorce, warrants, and more.

Given that repeated result across different names, this is obviously a scam website, attempting to appear as legitimate via mention of The Freedom of Information Act and the Fair Credit Reporting Act. There are many scam and ripoff report sites across the Internet, where complaints have been made as to the fraudulent practices of this entity, yet it continues to operate.

If this is not a matter that the ScamPulse.com can somehow address or exert influence, please forward this to the appropriate entities, agencies, organizations, etc., who can.
