These items are scratch and dent items. They do not carry the manufacturer warranty. They list the sales price as %40 off regular price and they display the regular price. The regular price is marked up much higher than the price for the new item so the discount is false.

Here is an example.

This damaged item with 30 day Sears warranty is listed as %40 list price of $1199.99

Brand new with full 1 year manufacturer warranty is currently priced at Sears for $699 (sale price, normal price $1099) http://www.sears.com/appliances-ranges/b-1202533085?Brand=Samsung&filterList...⇄
