This person picked up my dad and went to 16256 Military Rd. South #208. They passed through a little door behind the building. The scammer doesn't have a proper office. She asked for our car's insurance and my mom's work address. We want to rent for a week. My dad has $700 cash on him. The price for the rental for a week is $600, and the security deposit is $100. So my dad paid for it.
When he got in the car, all the check engine lights and warning lights were on—all lights. And because we are traveling with two babies, and he has to travel from SeaTac to Silverdale, where we live, he called the scammer again to ask if it's possible to return it. She said that it was not possible. So my dad asks if she can replace the car because my dad doesn't want to risk using the car with two babies. She said no, and she told my dad that he was harassing her and that she would tell my mom's work that my dad was harassing her.
My dad has no choice but to bring the car home. I called the police from SeaTac when my dad got home, and they advised me to call the company's number and ask for the higher options. No one answered, so I called again the next day. I got the chance to talk to her and asked her why we were not allowed to return the car early or replace it even though we had the right to because we were traveling with two babies. She said the lights on the vehicle are normal, and it is just in their system. She even told me we would know if the car had issues if my dad ended up in the emergency room. I asked her if she was waiting for that to happen. And then she threatened me that she would report me to my mom's workplace and that I was harassing her, and she hung up. I called the police again the next day, and they advised me to submit a claim to you guys and the FBI.
We returned the car on October 10 and only had it for three days. We did not get any money back. When we called her when we returned the car, she told us to give her our Zelle number. There was no response. Even our security deposit was not returned.
I researched this "business," and she scammed many people. This business has been going on for 16 years. One of the oldest reviews I read from Yelp was 13 years ago. If this has already been happening for a long time, why isn't she getting caught, and why did a reliable company, SIXT, recommend this unreliable person?
