I was sent a check for $2496 tell me to deposit it in my account, once cleared purchase gift cards for target 5x$300 and 1x250 totaling $2000 and I keep the $496,I call the ba k the check was written on and was told it was fake, but I knew it was because of the secret they want you to keep. They tried but they didn't get me

Contacted by the business by email and asked to text them. They sent a letter and a check asking me to deposit the check and then go buy gift cards for Ebay or Walmart. They then wanted me to scratch off the gift cards and photograph them and send the photos to them. They said I could keep the extra money as compensation. They also said I should write up a report on my experience.
