In 2014, my computer froze and a pop up came on my screen, saying to call a certain number, as my computer was being hacked. Naively, I called and ended up speaking with a representative of this apparent tech service. I agreed to a contract, was charged $200 on credit card, and gave access to my computer to remove the apparent viruses. Later I took my computer to the Geek Squad, they informed me it seemed shady, and I got them to check my computer for any case of further access from this tech service. The diagnostic came back clear, and though I was out $200 I just didn't want to deal with them again.

Lately I have received calls and emails, saying the company wants to refund me my money, and I have ignored them all. Today I received an email from a different source, PC INFO INC, from a personal email address, claiming I will be charged $800 for a continual contract that I allegedly signed up for (which I don't remember happening), but I could cancel if I call them. I asked for the cancellation contract over email, but they would not give it to me and insisted that I call.

It is no longer Secure PC, but PC INFO INC that is contacting me, and since that credit card has been cancelled so I don't know how they are planning on charging me.

This seems shady, as I am constantly being contacted by different numbers, email addresses, and even different business names. This new contact is no where online, has no address, postal code, anything other than an email and a phone number to work through a cancellation process.
