Type of a scam Online Purchase
We have responded to every single one of their requests until 2/28/23, at which time this writer refused to re-send the same form for the 5th time and refused to receive further phone calls from them.
Their initial correspondence arrived via fax on 1/19/2023, requesting records for a former client. Within 24 hours, they followed up with a phone call. Writer explained that the request received by Datafied with their records release was insufficient because SUD records cannot be released without a records release specifically citing HIPAA 42 CFR Pt 2 clause stating that SUD records are covered by this release. We sent back a fax to the number listed with our records release form and instructions of who/how it needs to be completed. They claimed they did not receive it. It was re-faxed on 1/27/23 and 1/30/23 after they called twice claiming non receipt. We then received a phone call from Datafied stating the fax was received but it was too light/unreadable, and could we please email them a copy. Writer scanned and emailed a copy of the release form to the address left on the voicemail. It was bounced back as unsendable/bad address. We then received a phone call the following week requesting records again. Writer recapped how many times we have tried to resolve this and in what ways. Writer was given a new email address and promptly re-sent the email. This was on February 6, 2023. Nothing was heard from them again until the week of 2/27/23 when writer received another phone call requesting records. Writer recapped the history of events again. They stated they would research and respond. Writer received another phone call the following day requesting an email of the records release form via a secured server that had to be initiated on our end, followed by further cryptic instructions. Writer stated we will no longer spend any further time on this request as we have made far more than reasonable efforts to accommodate this request and Datafied has proven incapable of following through appropriately.
