Luckily, my better senses made me research further. I am submitting this information since I did actually receive the same materials in the mail as others who reported the "Apple Scam"

This is a scam for employment- You receive checks...are directed to deposit them into YOUR account...buy gift cards and keep part of the money. ...FISHY. I googled and found the exact same scam posted.

Got an email soliciting me to be a part-time mystery shopper. Check for $2,930 arrived by USPS. Instructions were to purchase 13 Walmart gift cards, scratch off back and send pictures. Check did not have watermark. Name of company was See Level Human Experience. We did not proceed with any purchases as seemed too good and was suspicious that check would bounce. If we sent pics of gift cards scratched off they would have access to use the gift cards and we would be out $2,930.
