I had a home warranty plan with Select Home for a year. I never had to submit a claim until now. I submitted a claim for my washing machine. They accepted my claim but told me that I needed to pay $80 processing fee. Then, they told me the part needed to be ordered which was shipped to my house. However, when I reached out to ask the technician to schedule the repair, he never called back. I reached out to the Customer Service team but they told me that I have to pay the labor to put the part in. I have never heard of such thing.



I asked to cancel my plan but I was offered a discount on my next claim if I do not cancel. I informed the Rep that I wanted to proceed with the cancelation I was offered a 25% discount on the cost of labor for repair.



I had a technician come to my house to repair the machine for less than the $80 that I already paid them. This is a scam and would like to warn anyone to avoid this company and do not do business with them.
