This is an ad placed on craigslist to sell TV and internet services through an authorized dealer for cable and internet service companies, such as Direct TV, Spectrum, and Hughesnet. When you go to the website there is a video about the work you will be doing and the compensation for each sale you make. They ask for no money from you to set you up and get you started doing sales. When you fill out the application it asks you to do a W-9 form because you will be an independent contractor and need to pay your own taxes from the forms they send you at tax time. After you do the application and go to the training page it gives you scripts and pricing and tells you to sign up for an 800 number through Grasshopper so that customers have a way to contact you through the website they are setting up for you. This is about $30 a month and you are charged right away for the first months services. Then they use the number to get you a website set up. After it is finished they tell you to set up the ad on Google AdWords so that when people search for TV and internet services it will direct them to your website so they will call you to buy the services. This is very difficult to do because they have not updated their training video on how to set it up, but this service is not charged until after 30 days and only after people start clicking on your ad. They do not have a customer service number only an email and blog to answer questions. So far they have not answered my questions about setting up the AdWords account and I have received no additional help or correspondence from them. The website and training and videos are all very well done and it seems very legitimate and they do not ask for any credit card information or payments, but now they have my SSN, birthday, address and phone number from filling out the W-9 and they could try to steal my idenity.
