Ebay Buyer Protection # A233172624171 March 18 2023
purchased iphone 12 pro max from [email protected]. The phone
was found on Marketplace but she had it processed with Ebay Ebay was to
handle the sale including shipping and handling and the collection of the
$200 sales price. There was not any listing on the Ebay site for the iphone
that I was purchasing. Payment was to be sent via Ebay gift card to the Ebay
site. Payment was sent and after they received payment, Ebay wanted another
$300 for insurance that was supposed to be refundable. Said they won't ship
phone until payment was made. I told them that insurance wasn't in the
contract with seller. I sent the $300 payment with reluctance, however after
they accepted the payment and then demanded another $300 redfndable pmt for
more insurance. Finally on Mar 23 I relented and sent two more $150 Ebay
gift cards. I purchases the card at1:35 Pm and at3,55 PM Ebay messaged me
and told that there was a zero balance on the two $ 1 50 gift cards. They
wanted me to send another $300 gift card. I refused and they said it will be
settled in court. There was not any thing mentioned about insurance until
after I made the $200 phone payment to Ebay. Ebay said that the transaction
expires at 4PM March24,2023
In the mean time Ebay has $800 in my gift cards and refuse to ship the
phone' until I send them another $300 in gift cards just a few minutes after
their claim of azero balance on the previous two $150 gift cards. I believe
that this transaction is a fraud or a scam and that no buying listing is on Ebay
according to the web site. I have tried to contact Ebay to report this
transaction, however since the Ebay site dosen't recognize this as a sale, it
won't let me access a sale that isn't listed on the Ebay site in able to dispute
the transaction. I have most all of the documentation from the seller and Ebay
on flash drive and hard copy. Thank You
