Type of a scam Online Purchase
After a few weeks, the bras arrived, but they were TINY! You can see in the picture a bra that is the size they claimed theirs matched. I contacted them immediately and they asked me to send pictures, which I did. They informed me that because the bras I received were the size I ordered that they would not do anything for me. I replied and quoted their return policy which says that they will deal with errors or manufacturing problems. The bras I received do not match their information which is definitely either an error or a scam.
After several more emails back and forth, their support told me to give the bras away and they would refund me 20% which would be their whole profit. That seemed off to me and I searched for the same type of bra and found the same one under different brands in multiple places, most of which were less expensive than Semibra’s so-called sale price. Some less than $13 per bra. If Semibra’s profit per bra is $6, that means the bras cost them $24. In that case, the other sellers would be paying to give away bras.
Another interesting thing that seems off is that the bras were shipped from China, but the support person/people told me that if I insisted on returning them, to return them to an address in Vietnam. They also told me that it would cost me $30 to return the bras. They also said that I would get a refund when they got the bras back. They also said, “Please note that in case the item is lost, we will no longer be responsible for this situation,” giving themselves an easy out for not refunding my money. Thus I am faced with getting back $12 and throwing away 2 bras because I don’t know anyone they would fit unless they were taken in several inches for a little teenager who needs a bralette OR I can pay another $30 (I am not sure if that is actually what it would cost or if the company just wants to discourage me from sending them) to get rid of the bras with no guarantee that I would even get reimbursed.
What worries me the most is that a dishonest company has my debit card information!
