Sequencing.com Reports & Reviews (2)

Sequencing.com promises a rare disease report that scans your dna for over 1200 genetic diseases. You pay the annual membership fee of $150 for the Plus level (the cheapest one to get the rare diseases report). Then it says import the 23andMe dna. It also has you log in with 23andMe credentials to import dna. So it took my login credentials (changed my 23andMe password since), imported my dna, and then sent me to wait for the process of getting the report. When I received the report, the majority of the screen diseases were unable to be fully scanned or were not scanned at all. It said that it didn’t have enough of the dna material, but it was an unedited file straight from 23andMe like they said. I tried to contact them via chatbot. It said that they weren’t open (despite it being during the posted business hours). I was allowed to leave a chat message and it would not let me chat with a representative. I called the phone number. It was voicemail only, and it was still during their posted business hours. I noticed their business hours are posted in Eastern Time zone but their HQ is in California. All of it just screamed scam to me. I am going to dispute the charge with my credit company.

The website is still public and sequencing put an add on Instagram. I was interested in the product and paid for the service online.

There was never any follow up, and the company never replied to any email or call, including support requests from the website.
