Received a response to an indeed job application for a chauffeur job. Was given a full description by the person in need of a driver but was told they were recovering from throat surgery so communication via phone call would be impossible. We exchanged several emails in preparation for the upcoming job start date, but when the date neared, I was told the persons mother had passed away and would need to push the start date back three weeks. I was told I would still be paid for my time and was asked for my banking information. I sent my direct deposit information but was then told I would be sent a check via overnight FedEx. Once the check was received, I attempted to cash the check and was told the check was fraudulent. When I confronted the individual about the check, they told me that that was not possible and that they would just cancel that check and deposit the money directly to my account. I have not heard from them cents. It has been , almost 2 weeks.
