Reached out to me via email wanting me to fill out a few things to see if I was a good fit for the position then offered me the position 4 hours later without any interview or phone call or video chat. Then proceeded to send me an offer letter trying to get me to sign and then sent a check for $4,754 to buy “at home office supplies” with out ever speaking to me or anything. It was super weird and all happened pretty fast. I did not sign anything or deposit the check (it will be shredded). Then i received a phone call from a company acting as Wells Fargo (no caller ID number) and saying someone had opened an account under my name. The only info they had on me was my name, city I live in, and my phone number.
