One of our Homeowners received an Email & Text from a David Miller @ 888-466-0336 for a Loan Modification of their Habitat Loan telling them they can re-finance with a 2.25% interest rate (when we have them 0%), also their monthly payment will be lowered by 20%. When I called this David Miller, it was an Indian and he asked me if I could hear him and put me on a recorder. I hung up. It also states at the bottom "A federal attorney is assigned for you. Who will be authorized to approve your loan modification. You will be provided with an approval of 3 trial loan modification payments. Skipping any trial payments on the scheduled date, will suspend the loan modification on immediate basis". The email was from Habitat for Humanity of New Castle County, which is in NY, we are in FL.
