I had previously ordered mens compression socks from Bomba and really like their product. Facebook had an add for a sale on Bomba socks, so I ordered some on November 2nd and placed a subsequent order on November 26th. When the first order arrived they were women's socks. No invoice or confirming E-mail were sent, the only info was on the shipping label for Jane (listed as a distributing company). I contacted Bomba who initially said they would refund me for the first order. When I called again, they looked further and showed no orders except the prior ones I had purchased directly from them. They requested a picture of the socks and advised me they are not Bomba product. The credit card transactions show AB* [email protected] internet and AB*[email protected] internet respectively. Both transactions show a foreign transaction fee of $1.88 too.

I attempted to send a message via the transaction e-mail, but neither proved to be a working address.

The ad appeared again on Facebook, so I E-mailed them. There was a return message from Jones Gregory <[email protected]> . They indicated they were out of mens compression socks and offered to let me keep the women's socks and refund me 15% of my purchases. I advised them I expected a full refund and for them to provide shipping. The response was I can send back but shipping will be high and it will take a long time. They again suggested I keep the women's socks and give as a gift or resale them myself.

Responses are from what I believe is a Chinese email address and written response is clearly not from someone who is fluent in English.

My credit card company (Bank of America) is investigating this issue and I have notified Bomba. This is clearly a fraudulent vendor and all associated companies need to be made aware of their participation in this fraud. I will attach information I have obtained for your reference.

(Incidentally, there is no contact number for the vendor, your form does not provide an option for none. )
