Was contacted by the shipping company for delivery of a Newfoundland dog I purchased online at geraldnewfiedogs.com, and they stated that I needed to pay $760 for puppy flight insurance and $980 for a special crate, that we ended up paying twice because they stated they didn’t receive the first payment. Once the “dog” was in New York for a layover I was then contacted that the dog now needed vaccines and I had to pay $500. I stated I wouldn’t pay unless I spoke with the veterinarian and received photo and video of the puppy, neither request was met. Since I was not paying the $500 the shipping company then started being threatening, that I would be arrested because I abandoned my dog, as well as other threats. Numerous attempts were made to recover money paid but in the end we received nothing back of what we paid. In the final email the shipper sent they stated that the puppy died after receiving the vaccines that he apparently needed, however the dog is still listed as available on the website.
