I received a call on my home line. My machine was on so I listened to the caller leaving a message for me personally, saying both my first & last name. Here is the message: "This is Sgt. Moore. I work at the Civil Processing Dept. at the Federal Court House. I need (my name) to contact me immediately at 337.282.0530. This is concerning an urgent legal matter."

I chose to call the local Federal Court House directly and ask for the Civil Processing Dept. The woman answered saying she could help me. I asked if a Sgt. Moore worked in that office. She immediately said, "No, that is a scam call. He must be at it again." I asked what is he doing. She said he tries to get money from people. He calls from different numbers so they are not able to locate him.

I then called the local BBB office. They asked me to report it online.
