I go the next day to get the tires installed on my work van, I pay $240 for tires + $120 for install + taxes $358.40 with company credit card then my boyfriend inspect the tires and found out the DOT is 2001, so these tires are illegal to be used. Tires expire 6 years after the DOT / manufacturing date.
So I had to buy new tires off Facebook market with my own cash I was so embarrassed I got scammed ($400 for 4 from 2023) and went to my trusted mechanic & I found out Shabah tire guy damaged all 4 sensors installing the expired tires, the cost of new sensors is $92.86 x4 + tax, new tires install $140 + tax, programming fee for new sensors $25 x4 + tax. So my boss and I ended up spending $1,470 for something (tires + tire install) that should have cost us $547
