Looking on the job board, Indeed.com, I came across a clerical/administrate position for a company who allegedly designed, developed, and produced quality of plastic. The pay rate was 30.00/hour, with paid vacation and sick days and they were offering to send money so that you could work from home. Once I sent my resume to the email address, I received an email saying that I was a possible candidate for the Virtual assistant position. The proceeded to ask me about my work schedule, if I wanted to get paid weekly or bi-weekly how many hours and if I wanted the money to be given in a check or through direct deposit. All of this was sent via email. After I answered the question I received another email saying to text a number with a check in code to verify that I "clocked in" for the job and they would send a letter to my address with instructions on how to use the money and what to do next. I was also told that "JOY" was in Europe and I would sit down with him/her next week to fill out my documents and W2. I am new mom looking for a stable job so that my daughter and I can start a stable and struggle-free life. This job posting caught my eye because of the pay and I am eager to get a better paying job.

Luckily they did not ask for my social security number or bank account information. I am, however, worried because they asked for my name, cell number, email address, and home address to verify for a background check. thi information was already on my resume. I have worked at pervious jobs and know that for a backgrounf check they need your social. I am glad they did not ask and I did not give it out. I just seem very unsure about this. To further support my assumption, I googled the name of the company and nothing but a few job listings popped up and a few other people who were concerned that this could be a scam. I am writing this hoping that no other person falls for the good incentives they post for this job and that if it is truly a scam, indeed.com will be alerted and will start carefully viewing their job postings. I also want to make sure that just the general information that was given to them will not affect me in the long run. When you are young you tend to work just about anywhwere as long as the pay is good and they treat you well so that you can accomplish some goals. That is what I am all about.

I've applied for a position with this company a week ago. There is no information about company online anywhere. When I asked the party involved for more information about the company such as a website, location, and etc. The involved party avoided the questions and went on about tasks for the job and sending a check to buy supplies for the company.
