I was looking to purchase/adopt a sheltie since I just lost my dog a few months back to cancer. I saw the perfect puppy on the FaceBook "Sheltie puppies for adoption" site. After going back and forth, Robin Lynn Adams said she would overnight my puppy. The puppy was $750.00 ($600 for puppy & $150.00 S/H). I had to pay $350.00 deposit via PayPal (friends and family) up front and pay the balance once I receive my puppy. Payment went thru and I received the documentation from the pet courier service (PAC). Right before the puppy was to be shipped, I received a phone call from Georgia saying that my puppy needed an air controlled crate and I needed to send another $1450.00. I refused to pay anymore money and they said my order is cancelled and hung up. I now find out that PayPal does not refund you if you use the friends and family plan. I also found out that the PAC is a legitimate per courier service in Georgia but they did not send me that information. It appears they used their logo to make everything look legitimate. This scammer even sent me her drivers license to prove she was "real". Her Facebook page is no longer active.
