They said they were collecting for the police department benefit fund. They said they would send an envelope but then wanted a credit card over the phone. I wouldn't give them that information and questioned why they weren't going to send an envelope. They said they would send the envelope could I please give them the correct spelling of my last name. I questioned why they don't know who they were talking to. They said they needed the correct spelling to confirm who they were talking to. I said why don't you tell me my name and I'll tell you if you are correct. They proceeded to hang up.
