On Oct 7th at approximately 12:20pm Sherman Circle Management informed me they would reimburse the FULL cost of my tow and uber to the tow company. My car had been towed as a result of Sherman's Circle's NEGLIGENCE in enforcing assigned parking and an unauthorized/unknown vehicle was in the ONLY assigned space that is included in my lease. This is not the first incident for which Sherman Circle has BREACHED OUR LEASING CONTRACT in this manner. I shared with management that I made multiple unsuccessful attempts to have the unknown/unauthorized car removed and park in my assigned space including going to the security desk (where no security was present) and calling the tow company to remove the unauthorized car (who refused to tow the unauthorized vehicle despite that being my assigned space). When I came to the office to give them a copy of the tow receipt, AFTER I paid for the tow management informed me they would not honor the FULL REIMBURSEMENT as they had previously stated and they would only cover a portion. ($150 of the 381.94 total) which has also NOT been removed from my ledger as promised so essentially they stuck me with the entire bill. I would NOT HAVE EVEN PAID for the tow if not under the deceitful guise of management that Sherman Circle would cover the cost in its entirety. I would have spoken with the tow owner instead since I had told the tow company I could not park in my spot with someone in it. Shame on Sherman Circle for entrapping me this way after they were negligent in providing what is to be included in my lease - ASSIGNED PARKING. Additionally they admitted that would not be able honor the assigned parking in my lease stating that "violations may continue to occur" as it relates to parking and they will not always be able to provide the assigned parking in my lease. Approximately 60% of the time (when the leasing office is closed) no one on site including security knows who parks in what spot... so they only have assigned parking that they enforce some of the time. They did not address the security concern I had that someone who was not me who was able to pose as me on the resident side and use my parking then have me towed and they left me to investigate, on my own, who was responsible. Since they have not even addressed the resident responsible for doing this and instead are defending him it makes me wonder if the property manager Ms. Gabriela Portapila and the towing company "Jon's Towing" may be running a scam on paying residents whose access to assigned parking is included in their rent. I request the FULL reimbursement of 381.94 for my tow and uber as originally PROMISED BY SHERMAN CIRCLE MANAGEMENT prior to me picking up the vehicle and lending them the cost of the tow.
