I contacted by phone which was advertised on their website, a local breeder of Shihtzus. At first when I called she did not answer so I left a message that I was interested in adopting a puppy. This took place October 2021. As soon as I hung up the phone the breeder immediately called me back. She said she expected a litter and told me to send a $100.00 deposit that would hold my place in the waiting list at number 4. I immediately made out a check and it was in the mail no more that 30 minutes later. I had asked that she let me know when she received my check. She did not contact me. I emailed another breeder which I did business with in the past, and who knew her well. I explained that her friend never contacted me. She later emailed me that her friend indeed did receive the deposit and would call me. She never did. I am seeing that the person I sent my check to is still advertising that she is still taking deposits. No new litters have been shown on her website since last October when I sent my check. She refuses to contact me. By the way, the gestation period of dogs is two months. I believe this woman is taking deposits and not producing what she is advertising.
