<p>I contacted the website because I was interested in a puppy. The website appeared very professional. I was sent pictures of the puppy and told the price would be $650. They explained the price was low because they had another litter coming and wanted to find homes for the current puppies. When I went to pay, however, the price increased to $750, including $100 for shipping. I was told a courier would deliver the puppy to me at the airport, which they said was standard practice. I received a sales contract (with the owner's name listed as Thomas Wilson), signed it, and the next day, was asked to send a $500 payment via Zelle.</p>

<p>I was given two names: the first was Charde Betton at <a rel="noopener">[email protected]</a>, then I was told to change it to Keterra Dixon at <a rel="noopener">[email protected]</a>. When I tried calling the provided phone number, it would ring and then go to a busy signal. That's when I started to get suspicious. My emails weren't being answered, and when I confronted them, they still asked me for the remaining $250, which I, of course, didn't pay. I realize now that I ignored the warning signs because I wanted the puppy so badly. Unfortunately, I'm out $500 and won't be getting it back. I don't want anyone else to fall victim to this scam.</p>
