I was contacted by Shipownerspost for a part-time online job. I was supposed to receive packages and then ship them out, and I would get paid at the end of the month. I received packages for about a week and shipped them out as instructed. Everything seemed normal until I decided to do some research on the company. That’s when I realized it was a scam.Because many people have been involved

I received an email about a remote job where this company would allow packages to get shipped my residence and I would then inspect the package, upload images of the merchandise onto the dashboard with this website https://shipowners-dash.com/user/login.php

They emailed me and instructed me to create a username and password to have access. They also emailed me instructions to go into the website and put my banking information onto the dashboard so that I can get paid 4800 monthly before taxes. My duty here would consist of me taking these received packages, printing out new shipping labels that the company provides, driving it to fed ex, United States postal service, and UPS and getting them shipped off to where it needs to go. They emailed me a PDF of a w-4 document to fill out but I didn’t fill it out. Anytime I received a phone call from this alleged company, it would be listed as Spam, and each number was linked to a different state. There were 4 numbers in total that associated with this company. Number 1 was the Manager Karen Whaley, Number 2 was Supervisor Cleo Bernard, Number 3 was Robert Twigg, and lastly, this number was provided to me in case I needed to request off. Upon getting hired, I was emailed a link that took me to an orientation process where I watched videos that explained the role at this company.

The latino lady (I knew she was latino because of her heavy accent) called from phone number 765-204-9566. She told me I received an email about a ship handler job. She wanted to talk to me about the job, but I told her I was expecting an important phone call. I checked my email, watched a video that was part of the email. In the email, it described the fake job and said you can make over $3,000 something dollars a month, and average $4,800, etc. It said in the video that I would need to provide my personal information like driver's license, birth certificate or SS card. I googled the company after that and there wasn't a website. I googled it again, then there was a website. I called the 888-667-1530 phone number on the website. There were 9 different prompts. I tried every single one of them and did not get a live person. I knew it was a scam. I called the other local number back and told the lady ("Monica Rose"), that I'm glad I googled the company because I found it was scam and she hung up on me.
