I was contacted on 10/31/2022 with a job offer to work from home from a company called shippingplus LLC. The job offered was under Stocker & Packer, and the job duties were to inspect incoming packages, verify that the item(s) inside were what was posted in their dashboard by taking a picture, and then shipping back out the items with a different shipping label provided by the company. I was always suspicious of the opportunity as it seemed to good to be true, but I continued the employment process because I needed the money, and the company made itself seem so legitimate. They provided me with a company website to look at and even a link that showed the legitimacy of the company through a business rating company in Montana(which was obviously fake). They even have an employee orientation through videos and offered a tax form to fill out. They also offered different methods of payment like a paper check or direct deposit as to make the potential employee feel that it was not a scam because their were other options besides direct deposit. The scheme was very elaborate so I decided to try out the job. I mailed out a few packages them something very strange started happening. The packages started coming addressed to my name which I thought was weird because I was told that the packages were coming from their “customers”. That is when I thought to look up the business on the ScamPulse.com website. Sure enough the company popped up as an employment scam and I read a story on the website of an individual who had an experience identical to mine. From that moment on I stopped all connections with the company and stopped receiving their packages. The company is still trying to get I contact with me now and it’s been over a week since I responded to them. I urge anyone reading this to be careful of opportunities popping up like this because it is a new scam that is just starting to be on the rise in the United States. Also remember that if something seems too good to be true then it probably is.
