Some posted on out Neighbor Hood’s page about needing a Payroll Assistant. They offered training and a email address. They stated the pay was $900/2weeks. After contacting the email address I was contacted by [email protected] say I would work from home and needed a computer, MICR printer, check paper, envelopes. I asked lots of questions and she kept avoid answering some especially when I asked about a 1099 for tax purpose, with her companies tax ID number. Also, who was signing these checks and what software was being used. I asked for someone at her company to contact with phone. No response. I looked up scams and in 2013 another women reported a similar incident.
