I responded to a website that said they would pay me $2600 to be a "secret shopper". I filled out an online application but luckily did not put my social security number down or birth date. A week later I received a text message with instructions on how to become the secret shopper. I have attached a picture of the message that was sent to me. A day later I received a $2600 check in a priority marked envelope from the USPS. I thought this was too good to be true. I deposited the check digitally through my online banking app and the next morning the bank shut down my account for fraudulent activity and notified me I was scammed.
