Ordered an item (raised garden box) online paying with credit card. Order confirmation email received, but never received shipping information.

Email confirmation received Aug 19, I sent a follow-up email August 23 for shipping information, received response the item is back ordered August 24, will be a 7-14 day delay. There continued to be communication with the company in September and December of 2023, as I ordered a seasonal gardening item rather late in the year, I agreed to continue to wait thinking it would be back in stock in the new year. I made multiple attempts to communicate with the company in 2024 via email and the phone number provided in the emails to no avail. The phone numbers are no longer in service and I no longer receive responses to my emails. The website is still active and shows as a secure site, how many other people is this company scamming out of their hard earned money?

Ordered from Shop Smart Canada Nov 22/23, they charged my credit card in less than 24 hours before shipping the item. Nov 25/23, received an email informing me that my order is on backorder. I was told if I do not receive my order within 7-14 business days, they would offer me a 5% discount. I emailed the company Nov 27/23 cancelling my order because I could not wait up to 2 weeks and would like a refund. They emailed Nov 28/23 saying they will process my refund on e-transfer. They asked for my mail ID to complete the e-transfer. I checked with my bank they said do not give them the ID as they only need the email address. I replied Nov 28/23 telling them I spoke with my bank and what they had told me. They emailed Nov 29/23 saying "your request for refund has been approved and you will receive an email confirmation regarding your refund and that you will receive your refund within 2-3 business days. Dec 6/23 I still had not received my refund, I emailed again about my refund. They replied Dec 7/23 with "As per your request your order has been cancelled. Kindly wait for 3-5 business days. I emailed Dec 7/23 saying "You had told me I would receive the refund within 2-3 business days on Nov 29/23, now you’re telling me I need to wait an additional 3-5 business days. This is not a good business practice as; it looks as though this company is pocketing the hard-earned money of individuals. I am expecting to have my refund tomorrow. If I do not see it, I will have no choice but to report this company to the ScamPulse.com and the authorities." They replied Dec 8/23 telling me "As per your request your order has been cancelled. Kindly wait for a few more days and check. We apologize for the inconvenience. We value you as a customer and appreciate your business." I never replied back and as of Jan 17/24, I still have not received a refund.

I purchased a Christmas gift from Shop Smart Canada on Novemeber 18, 2023. It was to have been a **** Technic Volvo 6x6 Articulating Hauler. I did this purchase on line through their website. They proceeded to take the payment without having shipped the item. 3 days later I received an email stating that my order was backdated and they would give me a 5% discount if I waited, they expected it to take 7-14 days to restock. I sent them an email on the November 30/23 to check the status of my order and they proceeded to offer an additional 5% if I would wait. Needless to say I waited. A couple days later I went back on their website just to see if they had any in stock and it said there were 95. I sent an email asking how that's possible, they never responded to that question but did say item was currently unavailable still and I could wait or cancel. I asked for a refund on December 15/23. THey got back to me and wanted my email address to send my refund to even though I paid with a credit card, didn't feel right. They would process right away. I said no to e-transfer they are to refund to me card. Long story short they were waiting for approval now on my refund and it will take 5-7 business days to process and I would receive an email confirmation regarding my refund. That was the last email/communication I have had from them! I have not received my refund from them to date. There is no phone number you can call I've tried all matters of finding one. ***** ******* ** ** ***** *** ** *** ****** **** *** ** ****** ****. I have sent numerous emails asking for a response and nothing! I have contacted my bank and done the necessary steps with them.

June 13 I placed an online order in the amount of $40.46, paid on my MC. Email confirmed the order and payment processed on MC. June 17 I received an email stating my item was on backorder & they’d apply a 5% discount. It should be 1-2 weeks. July 6, I emailed as I had not received the item yet. They replied that it was on backorder again would be 1-2 weeks and offered an additional 5% discount. I replied that I wanted a 20% discount & should not be able to place orders for out of stock items. I emailed again July 17 and did not get a reply. On September 2, I had not received my item so called the number on the website. It is not in service. Looking at their address now, it looks bogus. I emailed them and explained that I was reporting the transaction to to my MC as fraud & filing the complaint with BBB. MC took my concerns seriously, made the adjustment & are looking into it.
