My father was in the market for a mobility scooter. While he was looking on the internet he ended up on the website of this company. They offer several items for sale. He purchased the mobility scooter and initiated the payment not with a credit card, but by direct withdrawal from his checking account. The company continued pushing out the delivery date and my family , thinking it was a scam, got my father to change his checking account and credit cards in the case they might be compromised. The package arrived yesterday and it was a walking cane, not a mobility scooter.

I went through the online payment system (Klarna) because I was unsure about the company and thought the purchase would be more secure. Under the Upright Cane website, it states 24-to-48-hour shipping. I immediately attempted to contact the company several times when I did not receive the ordered item. After the company would not answer calls nor return messages, I contacted Klarna to inform them about not receiving the order and also to inform them about canceling the order because after researching I found out Upright Cane is a fraudulent company. Klarna stated they were looking into it and attempting to contact the company. Within that timeframe Klarna sent me to alert messages asking whether I received the item and each time I stated no. I deleted my card off Klarna's website, however, on 24 Oct 2023, Klarna begin charging my account even after making a complaint and removing my payment method. I noticed in November the charges deducted from my account, so I contacted Klarna to ask them why they are charging my card for an item never received and they stated that the company stated the item was received. I informed the representative again about not receiving item and about receiving a cane instead of a scooter. At that time, Klarna stated there were other complaints against the company and they were launching an investigation. I requested a refund through Klarna and ask them not to charge my account again because they do not have permission to charge my account because my payment method was deleted. The representative informed me that they had some backdoor policy where they had rights to charge my account even if I deleted payment information. He also stated that they would not charge my account again because of the ongoing investigation. I immediately contacted my bank again to inform them of what happen and to request a stop payment for any charges coming from Klarna. Another charge from Klarna was submitted to my account in Dec. I contacted my bank about the charge, and they stated Klarna slightly change their name to get the charge to post to my account. I called Klarna and the representative stated I canceled the dispute, so Klarna started the charges again. I informed the rep I did not cancel the dispute and asked him why I would cancel the dispute when the rep I spoke to in Nov stated that other customers had complaints against the company, and they were launching an investigation. I asked to speak with a manager and the Klarna rep stated it can be up to 11 days for that manger to contact me. He stated he is not able to launch another investigation. I have requested a refund from Klarna several times.

I ordered an upright scooter for $609 and they never sent the item. I attempted several times reach out by phone. No one ever picks up phone. I made several complaints online. No outcome

My dad purchased a blue mobility scooter on 8/4/2023 and paid $599.95 by credit card. This was to be shipped in two days. It's been two months and his scooter has not been received. We have the order number, phone numbers, website, a confirmation email and proof money was taken from his credit card account. Now they have his credit card info! He has not received his scooter as of 10/3/23. There is no one who will answer the phone or give support. This is a SCAM that needs to be investigated. Shame on them for taking money from elderly people. His money needs to be returned and people responsible prosecuted.
