The scammer originally contacted me through text message and made many grammar mistakes. The person who originally contacted me was named Rose and she explained that she read my resume on Employ - Florida which is a website used by a place in my town called the career source to help people find jobs nearby. She told me that I seemed like a great candidate for an online work from home position for their company and then send me a google doc that explained what my duties and responsibilities would be if I were to work for them. They also sent a list of materials I would need which included some very expensive electronics such as an IMac and a printer and a fax machine and claimed that all materials listed would be provided from the company. I was also told in those instructions to download an app called Zangi for a text chat interview with a Mrs. Angela. The interview didn’t seem very out of the ordinary but again, many grammar mistakes were made throughout the interview. I never released my information because I began having suspicions and that’s about all the information I have.

I got a random text message from this phone number. It had a +44 in front of the number but I couldn't add that in the phone number box when filing this report. They told me they were trying to deliver a package but didn't have my street number and that I needed to give them my street number at that link within 6 hours. I didn't order a package through USPS, and even if I did they wouldn't somehow not have my address. I'm not sure what the goal of this scam is but I wasn't about to click the link and start giving them personal info to find out.

They send me this message. "U.S. Local Postal Center Notice:The postal staff originally planned to deliver your package on October 25, but the address information was wrong, so the staff could not find your specific location details. The package is currently stored safely in the warehouse. Please update the address through the following link within 24 hours. Anyway, we will return it.
