Applied to adopt a cat. Application requested photo ID and bill to prove address along with a lot of other information about myself. Also 4 references were required . I gave them a vet, 2 rescue coordinators from local shelters and friends information. They requested another copy of photo id which I stupidly sent then Heard nothing after I submitted all my personal information. I queried on their face book page why it was taking so long for any response (it’s been over 6 weeks from initial contact). After my public post for information they sent email declining application saying I don’t meet criteria. Despite being a long term foster rescue with large house and financial security with amazing references? I find this strange to take someone’s personal information and deny them adoptions when they claim to have hundreds of needy cats and kittens? They also request payment for these cats upwards of $250. I’m concerned about my personal photo identification being stolen. I can’t find anything online to verify them as a reputable rescue service. I should have checked before applying. Any information appreciated or indeed if you need more information I can provide it
