I received a phone call with the caller ID "Sierra College" from 916-781-6228. When I answered the phone I heard a recording that claimed my pre-approval for student loan forgiveness was about to expire. Most people do not qualify for student loan forgiveness and I have never done business with any "student loan forgiveness" companies. If you have student loans, check with your loan servicer. They are required by law to provide you with information about government programs designed to help you with loan repayment for free. You should never have to pay anyone to sign up for any of these programs.
