I was emailed by [email protected] thanking me for applying for Order Process Specialist position at LINQ Pharma Consulting. The recruiter asked me to send my availability & resume to their hiring manager Ms Mcguire at [email protected] to schedule an interview. I had applied for this position & job so thought nothing of it at first so I went ahead and sent my resume to Ms Mcguire who soon contacted me. She told me she was a retired real estate lawyer and was looking for an assistant. This was my first clue that it was a scam because when I sent the resume I had made the subject line the position I was applying for “Order Processing Specialist Position”. She stated she was currently in Montreal and was returning in 2 weeks time and we could meet then. We then went through what she would require from me in the assistant role & then she said I was hired. She immediately then told me that she would need me to book her a flight to come back on April 1st so that we could meet in person on April 2nd. She said she would have her client send me a check and then I was to deposit the check and let her know once it cleared. She also sent me a tracking number and link to USPS. She is now emailing me every couple days to check on the status of the check which I have not received & will not be depositing if I do receive it.
