I am a photographer and created an ad on Craigslist just a few days ago I received a email asking me to photograph a wedding on February 8th of this year. I asked a bunch of questions and then was told she would send me my deposit by mail I told her I normally don’t handle my business that way but she got my address through my Facebook page and I received the check today by UPS I also thought it strange that the check was not for the amount we had discussed after texting her she told me that I was to send the remaining amount to the DJ of her wedding. At this point I really started researching all the names and addresses on the check and envelope only to come up with nothing good I am just wanting to warn other people that the scammers also target small business owners such as myself.
